Talk Hard welcomes members of the Windy City Rollers, Dave Urlakis and musical guest, Charlsey Miller!

Talk Hard Media, May 17, 2013:  This Friday at midnight, Talk Hard, Chicago’s hit late-night, uncensored talk show is proud to welcome members of the Windy City Rollers. The Windy City Rollers are Chicago’s #1, female roller derby team with monthly bouts at the UIC Pavilion. Killa Nois, Mo Vengence, AliSin Chains, and Doris Day of the Dead will be bringing their rough and tough derby style live to the Talk Hard stage.

The show will also feature Dave Urlakis of Awkward Spaceship. Awkward Spaceship videos have been featured on The Huffington Post, Gawker, Gizmodo, CollegeHumor.com and more. Dave is a local sketch comedy writer and actor performing as an ensemble member at ComedySportz as well as a regular participant in Chicago’s Sketchfest.

To cap off the evening, Charlsey Miller will be performing. Check out her unique, humorous songs about topics such as Dogs in Clothes. Charlsey is also a member of the local comedy group, Little Man.

Talk Hard welcomes Evan Mills, Kyle Scanlan and musical guest, Ryan Miera!

Talk Hard Media, May 10, 2013:  This Friday at midnight, Talk Hard, Chicago’s hit late-night, uncensored talk show is proud to welcome Evan Mills, the writer and director of It’s a Terrible Week for Singing. The film outlines the story of an unhappy puppeteer recently going through a breakup where his long-term girlfriend left him for another woman forcing him to move in with his two lazy, jobless best friends. It’s a Terrible Week for Singing is a feature length film drawing its inspiration from SNL Digital Shorts. Get behind the scenes with Evan Mills and Talk Hard and see what put this film to song.

The show will also feature Kyle Scanlan. Kyle is a local comedian who created The Whiskey Journal – a satirical take on the news translated by a team of comedic writers through whiskey-tinted glasses. In addition to an online presence, The Whiskey Journal has a new weekly late-night show that is served neat every Wednesday at Fizz Bar & Grill.

To round out the evening, Ryan Miera of The Limbos will be performing as our musical guest bringing his influences of everything from the 1800s to the present live on the Talk Hard stage.

Talk Hard welcomes Fawzia Mirza as Kam Kardashian and comedian, Adam Guerino!

Talk Hard Media, May 3, 2013:  This Friday at midnight, Talk Hard, Chicago’s hit late-night, uncensored talk show is proud to welcome Kam Kardashian played by Fawzia Mirza! Kam Kardashian is the hit, satirical web series based on the fictional long-lost lesbian Kardashian sister who was cut off, kicked out and left to fend for herself. See Kam’s whiskey and women-lovin’ hijinks live on the Talk Hard stage at the ComedySportz Theater.

Joining Kam on stage is her unpaid Asian intern, Joel Kim played by Joel Kim Booster.  Joel has performed at Zanie’s Chicago where he won their Queer Comedy Contest. He is a regular contributor to the Paper Machete and can be seen performing at Entertaining Julia, The Blackout Diaries and more.

The show will also feature Adam Guerino. Adam is a local writer authoring the relationship blog, Boyfriend Land, and the interview and storytelling blog, Before the Story. In addition to writing, Adam performs nationally as a performer, producer and stand-up comedian. A few of his production efforts include the multimedia comedy show, The Sarcastic Squad, the weekly live stand-up show, Laugh Track at Sidetrack, as well as the comedic play, Mattress Matters.

To finish out the evening, Sadie Rogers will be performing her eclectic brand of fantasy rock. Sadie not only lends musical talents, but appears as a regular cast member on Kam Kardashian as the resident fan fiction writer.

Talk Hard welcomes The Noah Ginex Puppet Company, with Monique Madrid and Meredith Kachel!

Talk Hard Media, April 17, 2013:  This Friday at midnight, Talk Hard, Chicago’s hit late-night, uncensored talk show is proud to welcome Noah Ginex – founder of The Noah Ginex Puppet Company!  Noah is a Henson-trained puppeteer who has been working for over a decade in Chicago’s improv community.  He has performed on WGN and recently appeared in the 16th Annual Chicago Improv Festival.  Noah brings his puppets to Talk Hard for a special 420-weekend celebration!    Stoners are welcome to join the fun this Friday at midnight at The ComedySportz Theatre!  We do ask that you don’t bring anything illegal with you to the theatre and that you behave yourself as we celebrate the holiday peacefully!

GOOD TIME TORTURE: Name That Movie from The Island Theatre Company on Vimeo.

The show will feature other 420-themed segments, and other guests include the “Martha Stewart of Stoners,” Monique Madrid.  Monique is a writer, comedian, and actress who’s one-woman show Bitch, I’ll Cut You has been critically acclaimed.  She’ll be stopping by the show for some THC-inspired arts and crafts.

The evening will be capped with a live musical performance by Meredith Kachel! A staple on the Chicago stand-up scene, Meredith’s comedic animations have been featured on sites including collegehumor.com, todaysbigthing.com, The Daily What, and the front page of Funny or Die.  She is also the illustrator behind character Pam Beasley’s art on NBC’s The Office.

Talk Hard – the uncensored late-night talk show welcomes Samwell – the creator of viral sensation “What What (In the Butt)!”

Talk Hard Media, March 26, 2013:  Talk Hard, Chicago’s hit late-night, uncensored talk show is proud to welcome Samwell – a bonafide Internet star!  Samwell’s video for the song What What (In the Butt) became a youtube sensation, garnering well-over 50 million views.  The song was licensed by South Park, and featured in their episode “Canada on Strike.”  Samwell has also appeared as a recurring guest on Tosh.0, and was invited to the set of the film Public Enemies to surprise one of his most high-profile fans, Johnny Depp.  He’ll be appearing as an interview guest on Talk Hard – the late-night, uncensored talk show - this Friday at midnight at The ComedySportz Theatre.

This action-packed show will also feature an appearance by Scott Johnston and Ben Brownson of Broken Nose Theatre.  Their world premiere play Beautiful Broken just opened, and they’ll be on hand to talk about this edgy new production.

The evening will be capped with a live musical performance by Maya Kuper!  Maya’s haunting voice can usually be heard fronting the Chicago-based band Safeword.  For her appearance on Talk Hard she will be debuting work from her upcoming solo project.
