Cody Melcher is not only a lexicographic snake-oil salesman, but a witwanton and literary gentleman who is not afraid to talk about the important issues of today, such as politics, the English language, and the Battle of Trafalgar. On stage, he weaves a tapestry of obscure observations and personal proclivities designed to delight and enlighten. Frolic with him in his flights of fancy before civilization is destroyed by anti-semantic goons.

He likes to call himself a “humorist” as he feels the word “comedian” creates too many expectations for him to be funny. He is a Cast Member of 100 Proof Comedy, co-produces a stand-up showcase (Double-Shot Showcase) in Evanston and an open mic at Friar Tuck (Grace Under Friars), has a monthly podcast (Tomefoolery), and has a cat but does not consider himself a “cat person”.
